My counselling approach modality is Pluralistic: which is basically Person - centred. This means I work in a way that is focused on you as an individual, rather than applying a single fixed approach.

I am trained in Person Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and can draw on these where appropriate, but Person-Centred is at my core approach in therapy. Using this flexible approach allows me to adapt sessions so they are shaped around you: you are unique so your therapy should be unique too instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead your therapy will be tailor made for you and at your own pace.

Whatever feels important to you will be important to me too and you will be treated with sensitivity and compassion.

Having worked as a Samaritan supporting people through very complex and challenging situations over a number of years helped me develop the ability to stay present in whatever is brought up in a session, so know that whatever you bring will be met with empathy, respect, and in an unconditional positive regard without judgement.
